Retro Project – Clarissa Vera

Every year our intermediate and advanced students produce a retro shoot as a photography project.

They pick a decade, then choose a theme for their work. These projects are supposed reflect all the lessons they have learned, leading up to the Retro project.

This year, photography student, Clarissa chose the 70’s as the decade for her photography project. Clarissa did an amazing job with her choice of model, wardrobe, location, and makeup.

Clarissa worked with our school’s in-house model Karmen Adame. They worked back and forth on the wardrobe. Once they got to the location, it all came together. The house was perfect for the 70’s theme. Even the makeup was on point.

Calrissa worked with on light on location and used reflector boards to help fill the shadows.

Congratulations Clarissa! This image is your best work. It’s a piece to be proud of. I’m honored to have you in my class. It was a pleasure watching you grow as a student photographer into a future professional photographer!
